About the Role

With a proven track record of constructing over 150MW of UK onshore wind projects and a 4.5GW pipeline of high-quality onshore wind and BESS projects, our client is seeking a new Senior Project Manager to join a team taking consented projects through procurement and construction, ready for handover to the Operations team.

Day to day, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing procurement strategies, leading tendering processes, preparing projects for financing, and managing key contracts during construction to ensure delivery within programme and budget.
- Lead project delivery through procurement, financing, and construction phases, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.
- Propose procurement strategies to senior management, manage risk, and maximise project value.
- Lead tender preparation, review, and contract award, making recommendations to senior management.
- Manage project contracts, monitor progress, report to senior management, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Seek opportunities for cost savings and increased project value.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams to ensure adequate support and resources.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Provide support to internal teams during early-stage project development.
- Remove barriers to effective project delivery and manage associated risks.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive workplace, contributing to personal and professional growth.
- Ensure effective communication between departments and alignment across the business.
- Assist the Head of Delivery in leading the team to achieve business and project goals.

You will be expected to hold a degree level qualification (e.g., engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, project management), have eligibility to work in UK and hold a UK driving licence.
