About the Role

Are you a recruiter with an interest in environmental, energy and/or sustainability issues of the day?  Melbury Search is offering a unique and rewarding opportunity where you can build your domain whilst sharing in the success.

This role involves full-cycle recruiting, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to client development, through screening and negotiating the hire of exceptional employees. You’ll work closely with Melbury Search’s MD, two-way sharing knowledge, market intel, and help to shape Melbury Search’s future.

As a small practice, we’re big on flexibility and therefore open to ideas about how you want to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and recruit candidates using databases, social media, and other channels.
  • Screen candidate resumes and job applications.
  • Conduct candidate interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Monitor and apply recruitment best practices and legislative requirements.
  • Win client confidence, through securing vacancies to work and delivering successful hires.
  • Promote Melbury Search’s reputation and brand.
  • Design and implement comprehensive recruiting strategies.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and specifications.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate platforms

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter, either in-house or within an agency.
  • Appetite for and track record of winning work.
  • Familiarity with recruitment / CRM database / Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Ability to conduct various types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with different selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
