About the Role
Leading and shaping Infrastructure Planning at a brilliant UK Planning, Environment, and Design practice.
Our client is on a mission to support planning and development for the future we all want and need, directing growth to the right places, leading decarbonisation, and putting nature first. We are looking for a determined Head Infrastructure Planning, to lead a team that balances strong planning leadership with creative thinking, and grows capabilities that ensure planning responds, protects, and enhances with imagination and purpose. Hybrid working at any of multiple UK offices.
- Joining an established Planning practice, the Infrastructure Planning Director will lead on work with specific regard to the promotion of major Energy & Infrastructure projects, through both TCPA consenting and DCOs.
- Well supported to develop capability in DCO Planning, ensure sufficient resource, skills, and expertise to secure and deliver projects in response to Energy & Infrastructure market demand.
- Take an inter-disciplinary and entrepreneurial approach to expanding project-winning capability through business development and collaboration across the practice.
- Develop strategic goals with the Infrastructure Lead, who sits on the SLT, to increase job-winning capability in the Energy & Infrastructure sector.Coordinate with Planning, Environmental and Design
- Leads on market intelligence, sector engagement and to enhance the overall offer.
This is an exciting and challenging position, leading a team and working closely with a Senior Director E&I sector lead and UK Head of Planning, at a highly regarded brand in business more than 40 years. Whether your current position is already at Director level, Technical Director, or perhaps you’re an Associate Director looking for a leadership opportunity, you will receive strong support in growing the Infrastructure Planning business line.
We are looking for someone who will bring:
- A proven track record of securing TCPA consents for infrastructure projectsInvolvement in promoting development through DCO
- Good understanding of Environmental Impact AssessmentProven business development skills
- Finger on the pulse of the Energy & Infrastructure sector, and awareness of where the opportunities that might arise for a Planning consultancy
- Involvement in Developments of National Significance in Wales
